Newcastle's Premier League Run-In - Every Eventuality For Magpies, Sunderland And Hull

There are 12 possible scenarios next weekend - so will Newcastle United avoid relegation?

The Doomsday scenario has arrived for Newcastle United, Sunderland and Hull City supporters alike. Heading into the final week of the Premier League season, all three sides are still susceptible to the drop - and one of them will join already-relegated Queens Park Rangers and Burnley in the Championship next season. As things stand, Hull City sit in 18th place on 34 points having played 37 matches, Newcastle United are in 17th on 36 points having played 37, while Sunderland are in 16th on 37 points having played 36. The Black Cats could be safe by Wednesday evening and avoid the heartache of a final-day relegation scrap if they can get a point from their trip to Arsenal, but if not then they must hope for a positive result against Chelsea on Sunday. Hull host Manchester United at the KC Stadium on the final day of the season, while Sam Allardyce will travel to St James' Park with the sole intention of relegating his former employers Newcastle with his West Ham United side.
All four of these fixtures will affect each of the other teams who can go down. There are a whole host of outcomes, but in all of those situations just two of the three teams can survive. Here are the 12 possible scenarios that could occur on the final day of the Premier League season - and which two teams out of Newcastle United, Sunderland and Hull City would survive and which one would drop out of the top flight if such an eventuality occurred.
