barclays premier league The Barclays Premier League have revealed the full fixture list for the forthcoming 2013/14 campaign which kicks-off on Saturday August 17th. The most mouth-watering opening day fixtures are Manuel Pellegrini's first game in charge of Manchester City as they welcome Newcastle United to the Etihad. Champions Manchester United travel to Swansea City for their opening day game, whilst newly promoted Crystal Palace welcome Andre Villas-Boas' Tottenham Hotspur. Jose Mourinho's second spell in charge of Chelsea kicks-off at Stamford Bridge with a home tie at Steve Bruce's newly promoted Hull City. Here's the full opening day fixtures; Arsenal v Aston Villa Chelsea v Hull Crystal Palace v Tottenham Liverpool v Stoke Man City v Newcastle Norwich v Everton Sunderland v Fulham Swansea v Man Utd West Brom v Southampton West Ham v Cardiff Opening times for the new campaign will take place between the weekend of August 17th-19th, though before you book your travel and accommodation for certain games, it is worth reminding ourselves that the fixture list dates and times will be chopped and changed for the benefit of Sky Sports and BT television games. Meanwhile the new Premier League season unofficially kicks-off with the Charity Shield on Sunday August 11th when Premier League champions Manchester United take on FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic at Wembley Stadium. Last year's Charity Shield game was held at Villa Park in Birmingham due to the 2012 Olympics but the final returns to the national stadium for the annual curtain raiser to the new season.
