Transfers

Finally, it's done: QPR have announced the signing of Loic Remy for a club record fee. Norwich City have let Jacob Butterfieldjoin Crystal Palace on an emergency loan. The midfielder is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season.

The Rumour Mill

The Independent believes that Chelsea and Tottenham are on red alert after it was revealed that Willian could move to the Premier League for around £20m. The Brazillian playmaker shot to prominence in Shakhtar Donetsk's Champions League campaign. The Newcastle exodus looks set to continue, according to the Daily Mirror, as AC Milan are interested in highly-rated 'keeper Tim Krul and 22-year-old full-back Davide Santon. It's thought unlikely that Massimiliano Allegri will be able to secure the funds for both, however. Out with the old, in with the new. The Metro reports that Newcastle are keen on signing five players: defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (good luck, commentators), Siem de Jong (unrelated to Nigel), Jeremie Aliadiere (formerly of Arsenal), and full-back Massadio Haidara. In more goalkeeping news, Barcelona's Victor Valdes says his future is uncertain, according to talkSPORT. The 31-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool. This comes just a day after David de Gea was linked to the Catalan side as Valdes' replacement. Danny Graham is keen on a move to Sunderland, according to the Sun. The Swansea striker is wanted by a number of clubs, including QPR, Reading, and Norwich. Premier League veteran John Arne Riise could leave Fulham this month, according to the Times (warning: paywall). The left-back has apparently fallen out with manager Martin Jol. The Mirror says that with the arrival of Loic Remy imminent, QPR boss Harry Redknapp plans to send Djibril Cisse out on loan in order to balance the books. DJ Campbell could also be on his way out, with Ipswich keen to sign him. Aston Villa's Stephen Warnock could be on his way to Fulham, according to the Daily Mail. The defender - who has two caps for his country - will see his contract expire in the summer. The same report suggests that Wolfsburg - who Fulham famously beat in their 2010 Europa League campaign - want 20-year-old Pajtim Kasami on loan. David Moyes is after Etienne Capoue, according to the Sun. The midfielder has been celebrated as the "new Fellaini" and could go to the Toffees for £10m.
