QPR Transfer News: Wesley Sneijder To Loftus Road?

Could Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder make a sensational move to QPR?

Teamtalk.com. The Dutch midfielder is involved in a bitter wage dispute with Milan and has been told by the club that he will never play for them again unless he agrees to a wage cut, something which the player is not willing to accept. This has triggered interest from a number of clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and long-term admirers Manchester United, who were linked with a move for the player continuously throughout the summer of 2011. However, it is the Premier League basement club that have reportedly been offered the player's services. Redknapp told The Sun:

"I was asked by one agent if I wanted to sign Sneijder. Of course I do. However, he's on about £200,000 a week and now he wants to join QPR? I won't name the agent, but let's just say I think a deal is unlikely."
Meanwhile, a midfielder who QPR may have a more realistic chance of landing is Chelsea's Frank Lampard. Reports today claimed a last ditch effort by the player to accept a substantial pay-cut to remain at Stamford Bridge have failed, and given that QPR manager Redknapp is the players' uncle could persuade the midfielder to make the move to Loftus Road. However, it is being reported that Lampard is desperate to stay at Chelsea, and so a move to QOR, much like the Sneijder report, is probably a touch wide of the mark.
