Spurs News: Tim Sherwood Angry With Replacement Talk

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club boss Tim Sherwood has lashed out at those managers who have spoken about potentially replacing him at White Hart Lane. The Lilywhites' former player and Technical Director got off to a great start at the club when he took over from Andre Villas-Boas, guiding his side through a great run of form that resulted in a number of calls to have him permanently installed as manager. An 18 month contract followed as a reward, but very few believed he would be in charge next season, despite this deal. More recently, Spurs have suffered a drop in form and consequently seen their chances of European football - let alone Champions League football - decrease substantially and Sherwood's handling of the media has come under a lot of scrutiny. Last week, he openly criticised fan favourite Sandro, stating that the Brazilian international midfielder simply wasn't good enough to be in the team at the moment. In his latest outburst, the former Premier League winner has stated that he finds it inappropriate for other managers to be openly discussing the possibility of becoming the new Spurs boss while he is still in charge. The outspoken Englishman had this to say to Sky Sports:
"Every press conference I do it's 'this manager's coming in, Van Gaal, then Hoddle, this one and that one'. Some of these managers are actually touting themselves for my job. I don't think that's right. It's something that doesn't sit well with me. If anyone ever asks me about another job, I just tell them that they've got another manager. Until they haven't got a manager and until I haven't got a job, say nothing."
It would seem that, despite the apparent inevitably that Sherwood will be replaced this summer, he isn't going to go leave quietly and is disappointed with the prospect of a new manager coming in. What do you think about Sherwood's latest ramblings? Is he right to suggest that other managers shouldn't be discussing the possibility of taking over the Spurs hot-seat? Who do you think should replace the under-fire boss, should he be replaced? Let us know in the comments box below.
