Tottenham Hotspur Football Club face West Ham United this weekend in their vital Premier League opener. The Lilywhites travel to the Boleyn Ground on Saturday in the hope of avenging the three defeats the Hammers inflicted upon them so famously last season. It has been a summer of change at White Hart Lane, with a complete coaching team overhaul that includes a new manager in former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino - but there has been very little by way of transfer activity. Spurs have signed both Michel Vorm and Ben Davies from Swansea City and Eric Dier from Sporting Clube de Portugal - and that's it. In fact, they've brought more money in through player sales than they have spent on new signings. There have been no truly big money signings to speak of and no strikers brought in at all. That's quite surprising when you consider that there are only three senior strikers at the club - the talented but inconsistent Emmanuel Adebayor, the previously prolific but misfiring Roberto Soldado and the young and inexperienced Harry Kane - following the sale of Jermain Defoe to Toronto F.C. last season.
