Spurs Transfer News: Gareth Bale To Join Real Madrid "Very Soon" Says Andre Villas-Boas

Team Talk. The 24-year-old has been the subject of a world-transfer bid by Real Madrid this summer and yesterday failed to turn up for training with his Spurs team-mates. Bale's move to Madrid has been one of this window's most enduring of sagas and when asked how long it would take for the move to finally come to fruition, AVB replied:

"I'm not sure how long it is going to take. It can happen very, very soon, it could go to the last day (of the transfer window), it could happen in the next two days."
Bale is reportedly angry with Tottenham for delaying the move and subsequently skipped training yesterday afternoon. And while Villas-Boas understands the Wales international's frustrations, he blasted the midfielder's behaviour as "not correct" and is considering fining him. The Portuguese boss said:
"He is involved in a big transfer move to Real Madrid and in the end if it happens, we wish him all the best - what he left here was great memories. But the fact that he hasn't turned up is not the correct behaviour... "That is the position they (Bale and his representatives) chose to take and it's up to the club to decide if it's a fineable offence."
Asked if he felt Bale had let him down this summer, Villas-Boas responded:
"No - I think he obviously had a great season. What is happening is a dream move for him. "In the end there will be a three-way agreement. Tottenham will accept the biggest deal in world football. In the end I think, if Tottenham accepts it and everything goes all right it will be the end of the story."
Meanwhile, Tottenham are furious with Real for erecting a giant stage at the Bernabeu of which to "reveal" the double PFA Player of the Year when his move to the Spanish capital is finally confirmed. The La Liga club have also begun selling shirts featuring Bale's No.11 on the back along with the Welshman's name, and when asked how he felt about this, AVB concluded:
"They can do whatever they want. Whether it was responsible or irresponsible, I really don't care."
