Spurs Transfer News: Lisandro Lopez Puts Tottenham On Alert With Quit Threat

Lopez Lyon striker Lisandro Lopez has put Tottenham on red alert after revealing he is ready to quit the French club in the summer, according to the Metro. The 30-year old marksman has reportedly become disillusioned with life at the Stade de Gerland and numerous rows with manager Remi Garde in recent weeks have left him on the brink of quitting the Ligue 1 outfit. Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is known to be a big admirer of the Argentinian - who has scored 11 goals in 29 games this season - and a summer deal could be on the cards. It appears as though Tottenham will have an unobstructed run to sign the striker, with the player admitting he is very likely to quit the club at the end of the season. The South American confessed:
"I don€™t think it is possible for me to continue here. "Before the end of the season I€™m going to meet with the president and the coach and we€™ll see."
Spurs are set for a summer clear-out at the end of the season that will see them bring in at least two new forwards. Emmanuel Adebayor could be moved on to create space in Villas-Boas' front line, while the future of Jermain Defoe is equally uncertain. Lyon are thought to want £5 million for Lopez, whose contract is up at the end of next season.
