Spurs Transfers: Pochettino Remains Coy About New Signings

Spurs boss is refusing to talk about specific signings, but has players in his sights.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has both refused to rule out bringing in new signings before the current transfer window slams shut and whether or not PSV Eindhoven's Memphis Depay is one of his targets. Speaking to Sky Sports, upon being asked about the possibility of bringing in new players, Pochettino had this to say:
We're at the beginning of the season, it's difficult to put some goals, but it's our challenge, it's our challenge to, in each competition we enter, to give the best and try to arrive as fast as possible. There are players in my plan and after a lot of rumour in the media, but now I talk about the football .
Pochettino was then asked outright if Memphis Depay was one of the players in his "plan" and he simply replied by saying "what I'm saying is don't talk about rumour, we'll see, we'll see". So it certainly sounds as if Spurs aren't finished in the transfer market just yet this summer and some fans will certainly be encouraged by his refusal to completely deny interest in Memphis Depay. The Dutch international has recently turned down a new contract at PSV and is said to be pushing for a move and, with Spurs linked to him all summer, they could indeed make a bid for the player dubbed "the new Cristiano Ronaldo" in the coming days. What did you make of Pochettino's words? Do they indicate to you that Spurs will be making new signings before the end of the summer transfer window? Do you think Depay will be one of them?
