Sunderland Flop Ji Dong-Won To Replace Robert Lewandwoski At Borussia Dortmund

German Bundesliga heavyweights Bourssia Dortmund have secured a replacement for Bayern Munich-bound striker Robert Lewandowski in former Sunderland flop Ji Dong-Won. South Korea striker Ji, 22, left the Black Cats earlier this week for Augsburg €“ the club he spent the second half of last season on loan at €“ for an undisclosed fee until the end of the current campaign. He will then join Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund on a free transfer this summer. Ji, who has 26 caps for his country, struggled to adjust to English football as he scored just two goals in 24 Premier League outings for Sunderland. He managed five in 17 Bundesliga games for Augsburg last season, helping them to stay up. Prolific Poland frontman Lewandowski, 25, signed a pre-contract agreement with Bayern earlier this month. His deal at the Allianz Arena is for five years. Klopp only has summer signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and academy graduate Julian Schieber at present as alternative options to Lewandowski up front at Dortmund. The Westfalenstadion club are rumoured to have tabled a £5 million bid for Ki during the last transfer window, but then Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio rejected it. Dortmund also lost attacking midfielder Mario Gotze to Bundesliga title rivals Munich this past summer.
