Sunderland vs Man Utd Preview: United Seek To Continue Sunderland’s Woes

€œWhen the final whistle went, we didn€™t really know what the score at City was. But then we heard the Sunderland fans cheering,€Rooney said after the game. €œIt was sad to see that because they should be supporting their own team really. They didn€™t have the best of seasons so for them to be cheering like that was sad. It was something myself and a lot of the players won€™t forget.€
With only nine games left of the current season, it is a must win game for Martin O€™Neill€™s men. His side currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, just four points above the relegation zone. Lose against United, and the situation looks desperate, with games against Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton in the weeks ahead. United will be looking to put in a professional performance and get the job done on Wearside, and look ahead to their FA Cup duties on Monday. One positive that Sunderland could hope for is that Sir Alex does indeed look ahead to the Chelsea match and field a weakened side. Even then, that side could prove too much for the Black Cats to handle. Do you think United will get their revenge against Sunderland for last season? Share your thoughts below.
