Swansea Transfer News: Swans Pull Out Of Tom Ince Move
Swansea have confirmed they have pulled out of negotiations to sign Blackpool winger Tom Ince, according to the BBC. Ince had held talks with the Swans earlier in the week and also met with a number of other Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Stoke City. But the Welsh outfit have now announced the 22-year-old will not be moving to the Liberty Stadium in this month's transfer window. A Swansea spokesman announced:
After international discussions, we decided to pursue other options. He was informed last night.Ince has not played for Blackpool in either of their last two games since his father, Paul, was sacked as manager of the Championship club on January 21. He looks set to leave the Tangerines after being told by the Seasiders he is free to hold negotiations with other clubs regarding a move away. Prior to calling off their interest in Ince, Swans manager Michael Laudrup admitted the winger was in a good bargaining position.
This is a player who has only a few months left of his contract. He can do whatever he wants to.As well as interest from other Premier League clubs, the midfielder has also been linked with a move to the continent, with French club Monaco thought to be keen. Swansea may not be signing Ince, but they have secured the services of Bolton striker David Ngog until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee.
