It is a busy day for Spurs boss Harry Redknapp on this eventful Tuesday. Not only is he back in court answering the tax evasion charges that have been leveled against him but it is also the closing of the transfer window, and wheeler dealer Harry always like a last minute move. Plus there’s also the small matter of an actual football match for his team Spurs to get through tonight as they attempt to move back into the title race.
Reports are he is on the hunt for a new striker with Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega emerging as an option. The Colombian international striker’s contract at Wigan runs out at the end of the season and if the club want to get any money return on him they will need to ship him today and Redknapp perhaps sees him as a short term option up front, despite Rodallega having a poor season with only two strikes to his name this term.
Ironically Tottenham Hotspur are playing Wigan tonight in the League and there could even be a farce where Rodallega plays against Spurs and then Harry makes a late move for him and they have his medical at White Hart Lane.
Elsewhere at Spurs, one striker on the way out is Roman Pavylchenko who has barely played football for Tottenham this season and is being linked with a move abroad.
