West Ham Transfers: Zarate In, Jarvis Out

Loan swaps all round.

Mauro Zarate's short-lived loan move to QPR now looks to be over. With the club expecting to get rid of Carlton Cole to West Brom and a potential deal to bring Emmanuel Adebayor scuppered over the fact that Daniel Levy refused to pay his wages at a rival, the club are short on options, so it is perhaps more that issue than a problem with his reception at QPR that has seen the cancellation of th eloan. Meanwhile, Harry Redknapp has done a little bit of business on deadline day by swapping Zarate for Matt Jarvis, who joins QPR on loan until the end of the season. He's great at putting the ball into the box, and he could well be a key to getting even more out of Charlie Austin. Redknapp is apparently still looking for more additions to his squad - at least according to his son Jamie who confirmed as much on Sky Sports News - and he could still pull off his own loan deal for Adebayor (especially since his chairman is more likely to pay the necessary wages) before the end of the night.
