Samsung Delays Nexus Prime Smartphone Launch Out Of Respect To Steve Jobs

Samsung has announced they will postpone the launch of it's Nexus Prime smartphone. Originally set to be unveiled in San Diego on Tuesday (October 11th), Samsung says it will be the wrong time to introduce a new device (which could be translated as a business move more than anything else), reports BBC. The new smartphone runs on Google's new Android operating system 'Ice Cream Sandwich', the first commercially available phone to do so. Despite being rivals and constantly suing each other for what many call petty patent violations and accusations on either sides, Samsung and Apple actually enjoy a close working relationship with Samsung acting as one of Apple's component suppliers. Recently, Apple claims Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 is basically a rip off both aesthetically and functionally to the iPad tablet, and at least in Germany, Apple has won the court case that bans the sale of the product. Similarly, in Holland, a ban of sales of Samsung smartphones will begin and there has been a delay for a tablet launch in Australia because the courts are yet to make a ruling.
