11 Things You Need To Know About Universal Orlando's Skull Island: Reign Of Kong

Long live the King.

Something big is about to launch at Universal Orlando Resort€™s Islands of Adventure. When the summer comes round, the park will see the grand opening of Skull Island: Reign of Kong, which promises to bring the next generation of the King Kong legend to life. Universal are calling it a multi-sensory experience that is unlike anything King Kong fans have seen at parks so far, with a longer run time and more thrills than you could angrily shake a spear at. Though details have so far been kept inevitably under wraps, some tantalising information is now available for one of 2016's most hotly anticipated rides. There'll be ferocious monsters fighting for dominance, there'll be stunning environments and beauty and ferocity on an unthinkable scale. Universal are teasing the release of more new information soon, but for now, this is what we know - and what you need to - about the latest addition to Universal Orlando Resort...

11. The Location

Kong will make his long-awaited debut at Islands Of Adventure, sited between Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park. Expect it to be enormous: the approaching areas are massive, but the show building itself is gigantic. Size and scale are very much the ride's big buzz words, as Universal Creative exec producer Mike West says:
"We have massive sets, massive vehicles, massive characters, a massive story. The whole experience is really going to be larger than life."
