The iconic sci-fi comedy series Red Dwarf will soon be returning to TV with the much anticipated tenth series, Red Series X.
We here at Whatculture love the show, and figured this would be a good chance to revisit some of the best moments of the series ahead of its expected air time in the Autumn.
Enjoy…
10. Kryten Trying To Lie (“Camile,” 1991)
Kryten is a mechanoid and cannot lie. But that doesn’t stop Lister from trying to teach him to do so, and eventually they have a breakthrough, something which comes in handy later on in the story.

Great article. Had a lot of fun watching these moments again.
I can’t help feeling though that the meeting from Polymorth deserves to be included. An emotionally unbalanced crew led by Rimmer without any anger is brilliant. “I propose we hit it hard and hit it fast with a major, and I mean major, leaflet campaign.” And the absurdly excellent Clitoris line.
Also: “Change to Red Alert.” “Sir, are you absolutely sure. It does mean changing the bulb.”
I think many of these aren’t the BEST Red Dwarf but I appreciate you can only get clips of so many. I agree that “Step up to red alert” “Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb” is a CLASSIC moment (it’s been voted in the top 3 by Dwarf fans). Also, Quarantine and Legion have some classic lines! :)
