Bring it on 2017, our TV's are waiting..

The Terror
AMC

With 2016 coming to a close we can't help but look towards the horizon, for the exciting new series to come. Some shows like The Walking Dead and Westworld will be continuing into the new year, making that transition a little bit easier. The we have shows like Game of Thrones to be excited for, the thought of which will keep us warm through the cold winter that will come.

But, there is nothing like a juicy, exciting new series to make us hopeful for the future of television. While 2016 was decent in terms of new shows I can't be the only who wasn't completely "swept away" by any of them. The Night Of was good, and Stranger Things was entertaining but no series had the impact the Breaking Bad and Madmen had all those years ago, when they premiered.

Do not fear! 2017 is looking pretty awesome so far, and a whole bunch of new shows will be coming to your screen throughout the year. Exciting new dramas, dark comedies, and tragic romance stories a some of the treats you can expect. Marvel will be realising some interesting projects for you super-hero fans, and some great actors will be undertaking some grant roles.

Here are the 10 upcoming shows we're most excited for. Let us know yours in the comment section below!

10. Powerless (NBC)

The Terror
NBC

In recent years we have been bombarded with super-hero movies and shows, not that we are complaining! Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Daredevil, you name it. Mention a super-hero and chances are he or she has made it to the big screen.

This is why Powerless by NCB has the potential to be a hilarious show, showing us the flip-side of dealing with our super-hero friends. The show follows the employees of an insurance company who have been tasked with figuring out the damages caused by battles between super-heroes and super-villains.

Since the show is set in the DC universe we can expect to see the likes of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and potentially many other characters from the comics.

I like to think of myself as a world traveler and social butterfly, although I do spend a lot of my time watching the latest Japanese anime series, sitcoms, movies, and drama series. I live on the island of Crete, where I was born, and enjoy walking on the beach with my little cocker spaniel, Molly, when I'm not writing for WhatCulture.com and UNILAD.co.uk.
