Naturally, for someone who appeared on Glee, Benoist is also a talented singer as well as an actor. However, don't be expecting a solo album anytime soon. While she does enjoy singing, she has said in the past that she doesn't see herself as a solo artist, as she'd much rather focus on acting. Broadway, on the other hand, remains one of the absolute goals on her career list. Co-star Jeremy Jordan, who plays Kara's friend Winn Schott, also has a strong singing background, having actually appeared on Broadway in the hit musical Newsies, while according to Benoist Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers on the show) also has a good voice. when discussing the possibility of a musical episode of Supergirl. If they could make it work as well as something like Buffy's Once More With Feeling (the definitive go-to musical episode of any non-musical TV show) then I'd be all for that happening.
