10. Where Did That Baby Come From? - Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman

Having thwarted a variety of villains and finally gotten to grips with his relationship with Lois, everything seems to be going great for Clark "Superman" Kent at the end of the fourth and final season of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. And what better way to end a TV show than to gift its two titular characters with a baby? Well, it might have been, had the writers gone down a more, uh, "traditional" route.

The show ends, instead, with a baby being delivered to the couple in Clark's old bassinet. The only thing attached to the baby is a note, however, which explains in vague detail that the baby actually belongs to Clark and Lois. Whether the couple's good natures are being exploited by some grifter is never revealed, though we can only assume that the baby is, in fact, evil. Probably.

Who the baby actually belongs to is never explored in any further detail, and though the show's producers later explained what their intentions might have been, the simple fact remains: that baby could have came from anywhere, and may or may not have been a bomb.
