10 Worst Characters In The Walking Dead

How do people hate thee? Let us count the ways.

People love The Walking Dead. It's one of the highest-rated shows in cable TV history, and it does so well for AMC that the network has recently commissioned a spin-off series that will air alongside the main one. The comic book has its following but Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard's creation has found an even wider audience on the small screen, with an obsessive fan following unlike any other. Which is impressive, because it's not a perfect show. Is there such thing as a perfect show? No, but even so, The Walking Dead often struggles to reach that platonic ideal. Its second season was a mess of pacing and plots, there has been some truly dire dialogue over the years, and every so often the usually exemplary special effects will look a bit cheap. Still, the fact that the show works in spite of those issues is a testament to how great everything else is. It's strongly plotted, there are some career-making performances in there, and some truly memorable characters. Sometimes, though, those characters don't stick in the mind for a good reason. For every Daryl Dixon or Michonne, it seems, there are a handful of irritating, useless, or otherwise infuriating so-and-sos you're just rooting for to get devoured by zombies. From the truly abhorrent to the simply annoying, these are the ten worst characters in the history of The Walking Dead.
