12 Most Epic Character Introductions In TV History

11. Michonne -€“ The Walking Dead

AMC

The Walking Dead has had some great characters, from the Governor to Daryl, but like many of the ongoing stories, these characters' progression to awesomeness was a slow burn. However, there is one entrance that stands out and it was suitably epic; the arrival of Michonne in the closing moments of season two.

Comic fans had been looking forward to her arrival on the show with bated breath and her first appearance was suitably iconic. For those like myself who loved the show but had no idea what was coming, her appearance €“ shrouded in the darkness of her hood, bloody samurai sword in hand and two arm-less zombies chained to her like pets €“ left us excited for season three.

Whether fans of the show and comic have considered Michonne to have fulfilled her potential or not, there was no denying that she made one hell of an entrance. Both cool and mysterious in equal measure, a still un-cast Michonne made her mark on the show from that very first scene.
