12 Weird Early Performances By Game Of Thrones Actors

Tywin Lannister. TYWIN. LANNISTER.

We've all done things in our lifetimes that make us wonder 'why?' or how we could ever live those incidents down. Usually they involve waving at strangers thinking they were your best friend or questioning why you've never seen a female bull (just me, okay then...) but thankfully these mind-blank moments rarely make any impact outside of a few friends. However, early acting roles that seemed like great opportunities at the time are immortalised on the internet, and a host of Thrones stars won't ever want you to find out about them. Some of the show's biggest stars, including Emilia Clarke, have starred in cringeworthy B-movies that make Sharknado seem like an Oscar-contender. There are others who actually don't come across too badly in their film and TV productions, but it's weird to see them there in the first place considering how successful they have gone on to become. Thrones is obviously a far cry away from the modern world, so seeing almost any character donning a pair of jeans and a t-shirt is a shock to the system considering we're used to them leather-clad and laden with thick steel armour. There are also some performances that weren't particularly outstanding in any way, but the production itself was deeply shrouded in mystery, controversy, or in some scenarios, tragedy. The largely British, mostly young cast of Thrones is a perfect place to go for obscure pasts due to the fact that many of its stars made their mainstream acting debuts in Westeros. Prepare to see some of your favourite characters like you've never seen them before...
