15 Most Important TV Deaths 2015

All men must die. And women. And children. And anything else you might care about.

You're just getting into a TV show, you've settled on a favourite character, and are ready to follow them on an epic journey. Then, bam, that person gets killed off, and all you can do is stare at the television (or computer/tablet) screen in disbelief, mouth agape and eyes wide in horror, a scream dying in your throat. This has particularly been the case in recent years, with Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead seemingly in a competition to outdo each other with who can kill off the most characters in the most shocking way possible, and both were up to their usual devastating tricks this year. Plenty of other shows have caught on though, meaning that amongst all the drama and action on the small screen in 2015, there was almost certainly at least one death to go with it. Some of these we can brush off; they're minor characters, or ones the audience doesn't particular like. Some weren't even deaths at all, as this year saw a rise in 'fake' deaths, like the massive troll that was Glenn's apparent demise on The Walking Dead, or people dying but not staying that way (more on those later). Others, however, can have a huge impact on the show: on the characters in it, or the audience watching it. Often, as in the case of many of these, it's both. Spoilers, obviously.
