20 Greatest Ever Superhero TV Shows

2. X-Men

Out of all the superhero franchises, X-Men has always been the most willing to tackle complex social issues. With such a large ensemble of characters, it makes sense that they would be in the best position to have the mutants address a variety of problems. With the mutants in the show consistently being treated with mistrust and hostility, it's easy to see themes of prejudice and intolerance that we deal with in our own society. The great thing about the X-Men television show was that it was able to have so many different types of story lines, and they handled all of them incredibly well, especially considering that this show was primarily meant for children. It never felt the same from week to week, with the focus shifting to put different members of the X-Men team in the spotlight, each one engaging and interesting enough to carry their own stories.
