So the sun sets on another misplaced summer and all you’re looking to do is curl up in front of the TV and forget about the fact that in no time at all it’ll be Christmas (sorry if you hadn’t realised).

You’re in luck, there’s a ridiculous amount of good programming coming your way over the next month or so and it’s not too late to get involved. I’ve put together a little list of five programmes that you should be watching that you might have missed first time round.

If you have, grab a box-set and throw on a blanket – put the kettle on and enjoy.

5. Person of Interest (Season 2)

Created by Jonathan Nolan, one of the writers of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and Executive Produced by J.J. Abrams you know you’re in safe hands. The series revolves around a former CIA agent (Jim Caviezel) recruited by a mysterious billionaire (Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes in a post 9/11 New York City.

The concept of the show alone is enough to have you intrigued – and that’s all I’m going to say about it. If this hasn’t sold it to you yet then watch the first episode and see for yourself. Channel 5 are currently airring season 1, so hurry.
