8 Bizarre Conspiracy Theories About Famous TV Shows

6. The Host Of Blue's Clues Was On Heroin

Blue's Clues is about as child friendly as it's possible to get. The show first aired on Nickelodeon in 1996, and lasted until 2006. During its run, the show was immensely popular, loved by children for its enthusiastic host Steve, plucky dog Blue, and its heavily interactive elements.

Such innocence, then, was bound to draw accusations of darkness. There's just something about pure innocence that human nature can't quite believe in, and so the Blue's Clues conspiracy theories began.

I say theories because there were quite a few, all involving original host Steve Burns. Over the course of the show, Burns was accused of starring in porn, of perishing in a car accident, and of secretly being addicted to black tar heroin. Though these things might sound ridiculous now, there was a time when they were passed around as fact. Without smartphones to quickly verify the truth online, people tended to believe them.

It's likely the heroin theory began when Burns appeared on an episode of the American legal drama Law & Order, in which he played a drug addict.
