9 Moments That Prove Sansa Stark Is Game Of Thrones' Unluckiest Character

The North Remembers, which means Sansa will never forget any of these...

The concept of luck is an intriguing one in Westeros. Davos Seaworth carries his chopped off fingers in a pouch around his neck, because he believes it€™ll bring him luck. In the most recent episode, Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken, we discover that the captors want to cut off Tyrion€™s penis and sell it, as people will pay a high price because they are believed to be lucky. Others, meanwhile, pray to the gods in the hope of bringing them fortune, whether it be the Seven or one of the other established religions. The Starks, for example, pray to the Old Gods. It hasn€™t exactly worked out too well for them so far. House Stark is one of the most historical and noble houses in all of the Seven Kingdoms€ it€™s also the unluckiest. Just in the short history of the TV show, we have seen Ned Stark beheaded, Robb killed at his own wedding, Catelyn along with him, Arya to bear witness to all of these deaths, Bran aimlessly wander around in the woods seemingly for eternity, before being left off screen altogether, and Rickon just totally forgotten about by pretty much everyone. However, when it comes to unlucky Starks, and unlucky characters in general, then it's Sansa who claims the title of being the most unfortunate of the lot of them. In four-and-a-half seasons she has been subject to more misery than most characters suffer in a lifetime, and it shows no signs of letting up anytime soon thanks to her recent nuptials. While fans of the show no doubt hope that she will one day get her revenge, because perhaps no one is more deserving, here€™s a reminder of all the times Game of Thrones really hated Sansa Stark.
