American Horror Story Season 3: 5 Things We're Excited For & 5 Things We Want To See

ahss3-main I've always been pretty ambivalent towards the work of Ryan Murphy - I liked the earlier Glee seasons before they started short-changing and doing disservices to the characters and Nip/Tuck was the craziest guilty pleasure show for a few years. However, I think he's really found his niche on American Horror Story, an anthology series which every season takes a new storyline with some of the same actors and places it in a horrific location - a haunted house or an asylum say. The second season of AHS has just wrapped up with little spoilers about the third season already appearing as well as clues and theories about what the series will be about (my personal guess - either witches/witch-hunts or the state of mental health care in the modern day) springing across forums. With everyone wanting and expecting new bold things for one of the bravest and most additively entertaining shows on TV, fans are already guessing at what they might expect for the third time around on this twisted fairyground ride - and here are our choices for the things we know are happening and the things we want to see on American Horror Story...

5 Things We're Excited For

5. New Modern Setting, New Cities

ahss3-modernsetting One of the first things confirmed by Murphy is that in lieu of the second season's Sixties-heavy setting, the show is returning to the modern day for the scares and horrors that only AHS can offer. There will, of course, probably be flashbacks but then again, we'd be a bit freaked out if there wasn't a flashback or two. Murphy also offered up the interesting tidbit of information that the current plan is to film - or at least set the show - in three cities. We're thinking Los Angeles, New York and somewhere else equally spooky and scary. Maybe a remote town, maybe an abandoned prison... who knows, but regardless, we're chomping at the bit for something fresh and terrifying.
