Last week, Arrow made its long-awaited return to The CW. The network's veteran show kick-started its seventh season with a strong premiere that featured some incredibly bold story moves, including the development of Oliver Queen's imprisonment and the show's first ever use of flash-forwards, all of which set the stage for what is shaping up to be a compelling year for the series.
With all of the formalities out of the way, this week's episode,'The Longbow Hunters', allowed us to get up close and personal with the Big Bads of the season, as Ricardo Diaz introduced us to the titular threats. Undeterred by his threatening behaviour, Felicity sought out old friends in an attempt to bring him down, but multiple failures only resulted in her turning to the one person that she never thought she'd turn to.
Meanwhile, we got to spend some more time with Earth-2 Laurel this week and see how she's been adapting to her new life as Star City's District Attorney and more importantly, without Quentin.
A strong followup to the equally strong season premiere, Arrow continues to soar in its seventh year, but it wasn't all perfect. Contains spoilers.
