The incredible cast is arguably Brooklyn Nine-Nine's greatest strength. Although Andy Samberg is the star in a traditional sense and it was launched as a vehicle for him, it's very much become the kind of ensemble where everyone will have their own favourite character, but each is crucial to the larger whole.
Chief among these is Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), whose dangerous, take-no-crap attitude has proved to be an excellent addition to the comedy over the years, mixing perfectly with the other, more soft natured characters found in the 99th Precinct. Whether it's her ribbing of Amy, or her oddly sweet relationship with Charles, Rosa has proved herself indispensable, and been given some stellar character development over the last couple of years as well.
Appearing in every episode except but two, the mysterious Rosa Diaz is among the show's most fearsome and closed off but caring characters.
