Doctor Who: 6 Aspects Of Malcolm Tucker The Peter Capaldi Doctor Needs

Doctor Who, like it or not, is getting ready to go through some changes and go into a new and exciting direction. Though this has put many a fan into a nervous frenzy, it is also a chance for show runner Steven Moffat to flex his creative chops in order for his plans to really pop with those in love with the current flow of things. New Doctor Peter Capaldi is but one of those changes taking place. With a new face to go with his new ideas, he is set to either take Doctor Who into new and exciting areas or possibly alienate his fan base. As far as acting experience is concerned Peter Capaldi has an extensive career going back many years, but arguably his most famous role in recent years has been that of Number 10's resident mast of the art of spin, Malcolm Tucker in the political satire The Thick of It. The foul-mouthed hard-edged character is a far-cry from the amiable nature of the world's favorite time traveler, but does that mean that the Doctor has nothing he can learn from him? Even though their methods do differ very drastically, one thing that they could always agree on is doing whatever it takes for the greater hood. Whovians of all ages had grown attached to previous actor Matt Smith's memorable portrayal and in order to make this a true transition from the old character, Moffat needs to inject some new life into his familiar personality in order for Capaldi to be the intense Doctor that Mr. Moffat has been hinting at.
