Several key details have been revealed, including crucial plot details, who the Doctor will face as villains (and that's a particularly exciting element) and a rather wonderful twist that will answer two of the most pressing puzzles in recent Doctor Who history. Hot on the heels of the 50th Anniversary celebrations, and the airing of TV special The Day Of The Doctor on the 23rd of this month, which more than 10 million tuned in for in the UK alone, the BBC and the show's runners released a teaser trailer for the Christmas Special, and confirmed that it will be called The Time Of The Doctor. We knew there would be a festive element, given the time of year, but it has been confirmed that that side of the show will be particularly overt, with the special setting giving Steven Moffat the opportunity to delight younger fans with a Christmas feeling that might sit at odds with what promises to be a lot of action.
