Doctor Who: 10 Most Underrated Episodes Of The Revived Series

Don't forget to remember.

Doctor Who has now been on our screens - excluding the odd gap year and prolonged hiatus - for over half a century and naturally there are some episodes which stand out more than others. Out of all of its 813 episodes (over 90 of them are missing) and counting, though, most of them are simply top notch. There are some that will stand the test of time itself, a minority that are fan favourites even though they're technically not that good and an even smaller handful that are regarded as some of the best dramatic offerings that TV has ever seen. It's certainly a mixed - but generally faultless - bunch. That, of course, means that there are episodes that are brilliant but just don't receive, for whatever reason, the recognition they deserve. Whether that's because they were overshadowed by the stories that came before or after it, they've been forgotten because they weren't particularly revolutionary in terms of the Doctor Who mythology or for another reason entirely, these are the episodes that are often discounted in the grand scheme of things and as such they definitely deserve a little more lovin'. Here are 10 examples of episodes from the revived series (so far) that fall into the underrated category. Surely you've got enough room in your Whovian heart to let them know you really care?
