Just over twenty years ago, the first Family Guy episode aired. TWENTY freakin' years!
In that time we have experienced hundreds of outrageous laughs, coming from fights with human-sized chickens and world-conquering babies all the way to winning a farting competition against the guy who made Bowling For Columbine.
The most noticeable and memorable moments tend to be a product of the stupidity of Peter Griffin, the patriarch of the Griffin family, but there is an entire cast of hilarious and brilliant characters, including the rest of the Griffin clan.
Although they can be considered to live in Peter's shadow on the show the Griffin family have more than enough going for them in personality, quirks, mannerisms and general mayhem. Chief among them is Peter's wife, Lois, who has to put up with his behaviour more than anyone else, while having a son who wants to kill her.
