The most unique thing about Futurama was, naturally, the fact that it was set in the future. The year 3000 opened a lot of doors for the Fox show that were closed to most others. For fourteen years, on and off, the Planet Express crew traveled all over the galaxy, from Vergon 6 to the Nude Beach Planet to Dog Doo 7 and beyond.
Throughout these adventures, Fry, Bender, and Leela came across a lot of strange and interesting creatures. This says a lot considering that only one third of this trio is a human.
