Game Of Thrones: 5 Theories I Could Get Behind

2. The Hound's "Supposed" Death

The Hound When I first read about his last breath, I felt more sadness than the Red Wedding. This character, brash and harsh, his loyalty questionable and yet caring for the "little dove." I loved the development of this figure, and while not always agreeing with my best interests in Westeros, he has always been a favourite. I tend to have a knack liking the characters you're not supposed to. Tywin, Littlefinger, Jaime (pre-hand removal)-all characters I'd imagined that most would've disliked but those three were among my favourites. Right, back on track, The Hound supposedly died by the Trident, in the arms of the Elder Brother. But, the Elder Brother refers to Sandor as The Hound. 'But that's his name,' I hear you cry, but hang on boys and girls, I'll explain. He could be referring to Sandor dying or to an aspect of Sandor's personality; Which he calls 'The Hound.' Now, on its own, this isn't much of a theory but there are other aspects. His horse, Stranger, is said to only follow Sandor, yet it is in the stables of the Elder Brother. What's more, Cersei is currently facing trial from the Faith. She has chosen trial by combat and Ser Robert Strong will fight for her. Who could possibly beat prodigious, mammoth of a man? That's right -Sandor Clegane. The Faith has yet to choose their opponent for Cersei and who else better to have a final face-off against his brother? While not as strong a theory as The Mountain is Ser Robert Strong, Martin is know for his plot twists and this could be a potential convolution in the story of Westeros.
