Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Most Important Returning Characters

7 minutes of screen time, 5 seasons of waiting...

Every week brings more and more enticing news from the various Game of Thrones sets around Europe, and one of this year's biggest themes has focused around character comebacks. The show is accustomed to killing off any character at any time, or dropping them entirely from the show, but that doesn't mean they don't still have a part to play. There have been plenty of characters who were unceremoniously kicked off the show, only to be dragged back in at a later date, meaning that until somebody has drawn their final breath, they'll have a part to play, and even then it's not certain they'll stay dead...

10. Yara Greyjoy

Yara Greyjoy's return is hardly a surprise considering the Ironborn storyline is coming back to the fore in Season 6. Actress Gemma Whelan has been spotted on set in both Belfast and Spain as she looks to make her first appearance since Season 4. Further Greyjoys have been cast, including Euron, who was described in the casting call as an "infamous pirate who has terrorised seas all around the world. Cunning, ruthless, with a touch of madness." He instantly sounds like a true cult hero, but how big a role with Yara and Co. play in the next run of episodes?
