Game Of Thrones Season 6: 12 Things We Learnt From The New Images And Trailer

All men must die... and in Season 6, it looks like they will!

Season 6 is coming. We're just over two months away from the next instalment of Game of Thrones landing, and now the marketing folks over at HBO have decided to send a couple of ravens out to promote it, with a raft of new images being followed by a teaser trailer, which debuted on Sunday night. Of the two, it's the images that have given us the new stuff, with plenty of unseen pictures, featuring big characters such as Sansa, Cersei, Arya, Tyrion, and the newly-returned Bran Stark, accompanied by series newcomer Max von Sydow. The teaser, somewhat disappointingly, didn't contain any new footage. It all took place in the House of Black and White, and although it didn't debut stuff some Season 6, there were some familiar faces, and still plenty of intrigue in what was a rather creepy and ominous sixty seconds. From repeatedly staring at the images, to watching the trailer over and over in the hope of some sort of clue, there are quite a few nuggets of information to be gleaned from both, with some big, potentially game-changing clues as to what we can expect from Season 6 when it finally gets here.

12. Sansa And Theon Survived

The end of Season 5 saw Sansa Stark finally breaking through all the Reek to get to Theon, which resulted in him helping to save her from the clutches of Ramsay Bolton, and together the pair went over the walls of Winterfell, down to an uncertain end. Would they both survive the fall? Could one of them be badly injured? Well, as it turns out, the answers are 'yes' and 'no'. Here we see Sansa helping Theon out of some water, but apart from looking a bit scruffy and tired, they're fine - and certainly a lot better than they were at Winterfell. This means that their escape has been successful, though you can be sure Ramsay will be out searching for them, and it remains to be seen just where they could go to find a safe-haven. Many Northern houses would surely be glad to play host to the daughter of Ned Stark, but can they get there before being found? And there might be another problem for Sansa as well...
