Gendry's Return
Thanks to set leaks, we know exactly how Gendry returns. For some reason Tyrion and Davos head to King's Landing - presumably on a secret mission of sorts (whether this is to rescue Yara or to explosively try and meet Cersei or whatever else), and are met on the beach by members of the Queen's Guard.
With their arrest/death seemingly assured, they will be rescued at the last minute by a mysterious cloaked figure - subsequently revealed to be Gendry, with a new closer haircut and some impressive combat skills.
From there he presumably assists the pair on their mission (in an absolute dream trio team-up) before returning to Dragonstone with them, as he's later seen helping Jon Snow's party leave the island for the North. Given the trailer tease, it would appear he goes with them, having proved himself a worthy addition to Jon's ensemble.
Hopefully, his value will mean that he sees out the mission and return to the South with Jon, because he definitely, DEFINITELY needs to need up with Arya before the end of the show.
