New THE INCREDIBLE HULK TV Series To Use Same CGI As The Avengers

Smashing onto our screens next year, The Incredible Hulk will focus on Banner's early days and features Betty Ross in a main role.

New details regarding Guillermo Del Toro's much talked about Incredible Hulk ABC TV series has come in, destroying all hopes we had that the show would return to its roots and lather UFC fighter Brock Lesner in green paint. Revealed by musicrooms, Jeph Loeb, writer of the upcoming comic mini series 'Avengers: X-Sanction' and head of Marvel Television, spoke at the New York Comic Con about how the show will feature the same computer realised Hulk recently seen in The Avengers trailer, though obviously scaled down to fit a TV show budget. The move of course makes sense as it allows the ABC series (which is owned by Disney, which owns Marvel) to recycle the technology that has been pushed to the limits for the big screen version. Loeb explained the CGI modeling and design work used by the film's effects teams will be used to help realize the small screen version of Bruce Banner's monstrous alter ego. The TV show is being developed by Del Toro and obviously there's been much talk about whether it would fit into the big screen Marvel continuity, allowing broader characters and storylines to be used on tv to complement the films. But up until now we've heard the show will be kept separate from €œThe Avengers€, following it's own continuity. Though Marvel chief Kevin Feige hints that no definite decisions have been made yet and probably won't for a while, revealing that it could well end up being the very same Bruce Banner; More The Incredible Hulk (2012) Videos As he says, The Incredible Hulk tv series will focus on Banner's early days dealing with the Hulk, and features Betty Ross in a main role. Current Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo is not expected to reprise his role, instead a younger actor will take his place but no firm decisions on who that will be have been made yet. Hulk will be smashing onto our TV screens sometime in 2012.
