Sons Of Anarchy: 12 Characters Everyone's Glad Survived

Many lives were lost, but who are people thankful survived seven seasons of mayhem?

It's still hard to believe that Sons of Anarchy has come to an end. After a seven-year run full of ups and downs, lots of laughs and a steady serving of tragedy, there's nothing left to hypothesise about what will happen next. Instead, all you can do now is look back, reflecting on what creator Kurt Sutter, his cast and crew have left behind for existing fans to continue revisiting and for future fans to get pulled into. Last week, the article 25 Best Sons of Anarchy Deaths took a look at a side of the show that many will remember it by, through the losses of characters you loved that left everyone devastated or by the satisfying ends brought upon those you hated. With so much death provided by the show during its seven-year ride right up through its final moments in a pool of blood, the show definitely left a legacy of tragedy behind. However, even in the face of a final season that racked up death after death, it still managed to end with a handful of characters alive and headed toward a future of hope and possibility. So let's give Mr. Mayhem a rest this week and take a look at those lucky few who survived the show's run everyone was happy were left standing...

Honorable Mention: Thomas and Abel

Of all the characters on the show you just knew deep down were going to survive, it was going to be Thomas and Abel. Despite everything the boys had gone through, particularly Abel - who survived a rough birth, a kidnapping and being nearly killed as a passenger when Gemma crashed her car - it was hard to believe that either of the two boys would die. They lost Tara, they lost their grandma, they lost other friends and family and, in the end, even lost their father, but knowing that they're with Wendy and Nero, both of whom have the best intentions for the boys, is satisfying. They may not have ever truly been at risk of actually being killed off the show, hence why the rest of the characters on this list draw more relief, but they more than deserve a mention lest someone accuse this list of not having a heart.
