Stranger Things: 5 Best & 5 Worst Characters

5. Best - Mr. Clarke

Stranger Things Dustin Lucas
Netflix

Mr. Clarke's lovable nature is matched only by his ability to inadvertently explain complex paranormal phenomena using paper dinner plates. He is the science teacher and A.V club supervisor at Hawkins Middle School, and Mike and his friends gravitate towards him as one of the few adults that seems to truly understand them.

He's a guardian angel to our nerdy troop of heroes, encouraging their curious minds and helping them deal with their feelings after Will's disappearance. He is seemingly always ready to help, taking a call to talk about sensory deprivation tanks when he's in the middle of a date.

That sort of dedication is hard to come by, and he makes us all sit back and reminisce about teachers in our own lives who went above and beyond to help mould us into better people. He brings value to the show for both his intellect and his kindheartedness, making him an all-round triumph of a supporting character.
