Stranger Things Season 2 Premiere Date Revealed In Worrying New Teaser
Return to Hawkins on October 27!
Things are about to get even Stranger!
The global phenomenon that is Netflix's Stranger Things is returning to take over our lives even earlier than expected, with the streaming service announcing today that Season 2 would drop on October 27 (a few days earlier than the previously announced Halloween date).
They broke the news with an ominous new teaser, which shows the four kids - Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas - riding their bikes through Hawkins, and a haunting red sky revealing a glimpse of the new monster (previously teased in the Super Bowl trailer).
As the showrunners have previously revealed, last year they came for Will, but this year it's the entire town under threat, and that's definitely the vibe here:
Season 2 takes the action forward roughly a year, to Halloween 2018. All the Season 1 cast is back, joined by new additions including Paul Reiser, Sean Astin, Will Chase and Brett Gelman. As well as the teaser, Netflix also revealed a gorgeous new poster (which you can see in full below), and an official synopsis:
"It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived."
