As CBS The Big Bang Theory enters its 6th season of production, its somewhat surprising to realize that the show is still in the middle of its stride. Most shows that come upon a 6th season find themselves bogged down in parity and coasting on the achievements of previous seasons, but the writers and producers of TBBT manage to continue to grow their characters and not let their past success go to their heads. And heres why we should be excited for the premiere of Season 6 on Thursday, September 22nd. 1. The Fate of Astronaut Howard Wolowitz
We last saw Howard making his way into orbit, whilst his friends sat in their apartment and watched with concerned faces and baited breath as the shuttle made its way skyward, with their friend in tow. Does Howard make it safely home? How do his girlfriend and his mother get along while he is away? And whats up with Sheldon making personal contact with his girlfriend Amy, by grabbing her hand, and getting a look of concern on his face as the 5th season finale came to a close? Was Howard in trouble? Cause for concern for sure, but Im betting we will continue to see the Howard Wolowitz character time and again as the new season progresses, and I hope so: weve seen more growth in this character than any other on the show, and I cant wait to see where they take him next.
