The Big Bang Theory vs Friends - Which Is Your Favourite?
For most people, a movie or TV show ends with the fading of the credits. You switch the channel over or exit the cinema quickly to beat the queues - the experience in itself is over, at least until the next episode or sequel is released. For me, I love nothing more than a good debate beyond the credits. In fact, I probably spend more time discussing plots and themes than I should. Of course, I'm not going to invest my time discussing every movie or TV show I see, instead I focus on those elite few that I feel passionate about. It's not just movies or TV shows either. Humans, by nature, are an opinionated lot. McDonalds or Burgerking? Xbox or Playstation? Android or iPhone? We all have an opinion and that's what makes debating so much fun. Throughout the years, we have been blessed with some pretty special on screen entertainment. Some people still insist that The Godfather is the greatest trilogy of all time, while more modern fans argue that The Lord of the Rings has stolen its title. It's all in the perception of the viewer. TV shows and movies are unique in the sense that they encourage discussion. Maybe you love an actor that your friend despises, or can't understand why Twilight is such a big deal. Over the next few months, I am going to be pitting two relatively similar movies or TV shows against each other with you, the viewer, deciding which comes out on top. I'll set up a poll at the end of the article so you can vote for your favourite, before you duke it out in the comments section for bragging rights. So without further ado, week one sees if classic series Friends can hold off the up and coming ratings juggernaut, The Big Bang Theory.
