The Flash Season 2: 16 WTF Moments From 'The Fury Of The Firestorm'

Firestorm candidates, King Shark, Harrison Wells ... and is Iris talking about Wally West?

The Fury of the Firestorm was certainly an interesting episode of The Flash. Whilst so much of the episode passed without the presence of any real villain, the last 15 minutes or so saw takes on DC€™s Tokamak and King freakin€™ Shark, not to mention Barry Allen setting eyes on Earth-2€™s Harrison Wells. In amongst all of that, the greater narrative was the creation of a second Firestorm. With Ronnie Raymond having sacrificed himself to save the planet, as shown in the season premiere, poor Martin Stein is feeling the heat of not having young Ronald to converge with. As such, Dr. Stein is in a bad way and needs to find another half of Firestorm pronto, with Henry Hewitt and Jefferson Jackson tried out as potential fits. Away from the heroes and villains, The Fury of the Firestorm also developed the story of Francine, as she finally meets up with daughter Iris before it€™s shockingly revealed that she actually has a son too. All in all, this was an episode brimming with plenty of moments that will have had viewers mumbling WTF.

16. Dying Days

The first real WTF moment of The Fury of the Firestorm saw it revealed that Martin Stein could seemingly only have a few days left to live unless he can find someone to join forces with and become Firestorm once more. Of course, we all knew Stein was in a bad way, although we didn€™t really think it was this bad. Then again, for anyone who€™s seen any of the promotional work surrounding next year€™s DC€™s Legends of Tomorrow, you€™ll have known Dr. Stein would€™ve been perfectly fine by the time all was said and done.
