The Simpsons: 10 Most Desperate Moments

Sometimes, they just might be trying too hard...

We all the love the Simpsons, but after 25 Seasons it gets hard to maintain the quality that fans came to expect during the shows peak in the mid 90s. Even the best programs would struggle to achieve consistently high ratings and overwhelming praise for a quarter of a century. Over the past couple of decades The Simpsons has decreased in popularity and viewership, and in an attempt to sort it out, the show has resorted to some pretty desperate means. At their lowest level the Simpsons have offered us everything from shocking twists, to flavor of the month guest stars, and selling us all a big heaping bowl of exaggerations. To be fair not all of those episodes were necessarily terrible, but it's hard not to see them for what they are: pure desperate pandering. So join us as we tackle ten episodes where the Simpsons stooped incredibly low (though not as low as Mr Plow's low low prices!). Just a quick warning for UK readers, the final entry on the list contains a massive SPOILER for an episode that has not yet aired on Sky 1. Though if you're a regular reader of our Simpsons articles then you probably already know.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
