The Walking Dead: 10 Dumbest Character Decisions

Even the zombies would question these decisions.

The zombie genre is all about putting people into life-threatening and horrific situations and seeing how they survive. The entertainment factor comes from relating to the characters and their plight. We imagine ourselves in their position and ask ourselves, €œWhat would I do?€ And as we watch the guy trip and fall while being chased by a pack of zombies, we explicitly exclaim our disapproval. €œHow can they be so stupid?€ you may ask yourself. €œIf I were in that position I€™d never do that!€ Even the best zombie stories never fail to illicit this audience frustration, and The Walking Dead is no exception. It may be the single most popular piece of zombie media in the history of the genre, but it upholds this tradition of incompetence driven drama. Sometimes the show takes it to a whole new level to the point where its quality actually suffers. Certain characters, like Shane or Lori, become hard to sympathize with because they continue to make the wrong decision at every possible opportunity. Yes, many bad decisions have been made over the last four seasons, and there is surely more to come in season five. So in honor of our beloved group of dummies and their inexplicable ability to survive, we€™ve gathered some of the greatest intellectual blunders to have plagued them over the years. These are just some of the dumbest decisions made by characters in The Walking Dead.
