The Walking Dead Season 5: 8 Things That Will Happen Next

What won't happen: more of Carl eating pudding.

As much as scraping by in the zombie apocalypse must suck €“ and it really must €“ that's nothing compared to the torturous wait fans of The Walking Dead have to go through every year when the series goes on its mid-season break. Not least of which because that break usually follows a horrible, emotionally draining cliffhanger ending €“ in the case of season five, it was (SPOILERS) the death of Beth. Despite that unintentional rhyme, it was a somber and heart-breaking affair. Much of the fifth season had things looking up somewhat for the Rick Grimes survival group: they'd not lost anybody in a while €“ once they got rid of those pesky Terminus cannibals, anyhow €“ and were dealing with walkers with relative ease. Then the Beth thing happened, and AMC released a two minute teaser clip of stuff that's gonna happen in this Sunday's mid-season premiere, and it looks like everything's back to being terrible again. Well, terrible for the characters, but great for fans. You need drama and death! Or the show isn't interesting! It's just Carl eating lots of pudding on a roof! What exactly can you expect from the latter half of this batch of episodes, however? Who's going to live and die? Who's going to show up to fill out the ranks after said deaths? And when will Carl's voice break? At least some of those are answered in the eight things that will happen next in The Walking Dead's fifth season...
